Silvia Gómez studied anthropologist from the Universidad de Los Andes and a Master’s in Holistic Sciences from Schumacher College. She has accompanied various indigenous organizations in Colombia and Africa in social and technical mapping processes; as well as in the formulation, management, monitoring, and evaluation of international cooperation projects and the design, management, and implementation of intercultural initiatives in health, education, environmental management, and productive projects. She was director of Greenpeace Colombia between 2014 and 2021; She also serves as Deputy Director of the Andean Greenpeace Program: Argentina, Chile, and Colombia. She is currently the Executive Director of the Gaia Amazonas Foundation.
