YCEJ Environmental Joy Fellow/Conference Organizer (part-time then up to full time during the summer)

The Yale Center for Environmental Justice is looking to engage a Fellow to lead the programming for this year’s Global Environmental Justice Conference.  The Fellow will start as soon as feasible and be engaged up to 40 hours/week for the summer.  The conference will continue the theme pioneered last year, “Environmental Joy,” and will offer a new set of substantive content areas for presenters and attendees.

Working closely with YCEJ’s Executive Director, last year’s program coordinator and a small group of faculty and other advisors, the Environmental Joy Fellow’s work will focus on identifying and securing keynote presenters and performers as well as panelists for up to four separate tracks.  The Fellow will also work with other student leaders we will be recruiting who will focus on narrower parts of the programming, including awarding scholarships to grassroots participants, track facilitation, and the conference’s spiritual/celebratory elements.
