Jill Capotosto graduated from Yale in 2021 with a joint Master of Environmental Management and Master of Arts in Global Affairs. Her studies at Yale focused on the nexus of environmental justice, climate change, and urbanization, especially as they relate to international development. As a 2022 Presidential Management Fellow, she now serves as an Energy Justice Liaison within the Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstration. In this role, she works to center equity, energy, and environmental justice in the office’s program designs and investments, and to advance the department’s Justice40 Initiative priorities. Previously, Jill worked in international environmental nonprofits, including the Institute for Sustainable Communities, a Vermont-based nonprofit working to build climate resilience in U.S. cities, and TRAFFIC, a wildlife trade monitoring network, where she held a Princeton in Asia Fellowship. Jill graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies and strategic communications.
