We are happy to announce a new event in YELA’s Climate+ speaker series alongside The Asian Pacific American Law Students Association’s Political Action Committee, Yale Environmental Law Association: “Climate+ Storytelling Liberation”! We will be joined by Orion Camero, Cultural Organizer & Visual Storytelling Educator. As a Filipinx genderqueer storyteller and organizer, Orion engages visual media and powerful youth-led activism to pursue a holistic approach to climate and social justice. We’ll discuss their experiences honoring decolonial lineage and identity as they have organized from their California home to the halls of the United Nations.
