Annamie Paul

Annamie Paul is a lawyer and justice advocate. As the former Leader of the Green Party of Canada, she was a leading voice for environmental and climate justice policy. Annamie is the founder of the Canadian Centre for Political Leadership and co-founder of the 1834 Public Policy Fellowship for Black Canadians. She has worked and advised extensively on human rights, sustainable development, conflict prevention and climate policy, is a Senior Fellow of the Raoul Wallenberg Center for Human Rights, an Echoing Green Foundation Fellow and was named as one of the 29 Powerhouses of 2021 by Refinery29/ViceMedia. She holds a MPA from Princeton University, and an LL.B from the University of Ottawa. 

Annamie will discuss This is not a pipe/line: inclusive and interdisciplinary approaches to environmental justice in Rom 319 in Kroon Hall. There will be a reception to follow at 1:00 p.m.
