Rennie Jones
Rennie Jones
Rennie is a Master of Environmental Management student focusing on international climate policy and displacement due to climate change. Rennie grew up near Detroit, Michigan and spent time in Greensboro, Alabama and Paris, France before landing in New York City. Before coming to Yale, they worked as an architect and climate adaptation planner creating affordable housing for New Yorkers and supporting communities in adapting to climate change. Rennie hopes to help hold the United States accountable for mitigating carbon emissions and removing barriers that prevent other nations from accessing resources to adapt to climate change. As an Environmental Justice Community Fellow, Rennie is supporting the Six Lakes Park Coalition, CONECT, and Save the Sound to realize the community-led vision for Six Lakes Park. The Coalition has been working to transform the former Olin Powder Farm site into a park and nature preserve that serves the Newhall neighborhood and wider Hamden community.
