Zoe Kanga is a recent graduate of Yale University, holding a degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Justice and a certificate in advanced foreign language studies in Chinese. Her upbringing has greatly influenced her work on environmental justice in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her research interests include Environmental Racism in Cancer Alley, the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Lock, and indigenous food systems. She is passionate about global sustainable development and international affairs. In addition to learning Mandarin, she is proficient in French. Zoe believes that language acquisition is the key to forming global relations and bridging cultural barriers. She will be returning to the Yale School of the Environment in the fall to pursue an accelerated Master’s of Environmental Management.
