Planning your trip

We are excited for you to join us for the 2019 Global Environmental Justice Conference at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. The conference will take place on Friday, November 15 at Kroon Hall, with breakout panel sessions happening next door in Sage Hall (Burke Auditorium).

Getting to the Venue

by auto
  • From I-91 or I-95

  • Arriving in New Haven take I-91 north towards Hartford, and immediately exit on Exit 3 (Trumbull Street) into the center of New Haven. On the exit ramp stay in the middle lane, and continue straight onto Trumbull Street. At the fifth traffic light, turn right onto Prospect Street. Drive one block on Prospect St., continue straight through the first traffic light (Sachem Street), and Kroon Hall (195 Prospect Street) is the second building on the right hand side of the street.

  • Metered parking is available on Prospect Street and Sachem Street. Guests may also pay by the hour to park in Lot 16V at Whitney Avenue and Humphrey Street, or in the visitor lot on Trumbull Street (between Temple and Hillhouse). Both are $2/hour. More Yale visitor parking options can be found here.

by plane
  • Tweed New Haven Airport is 15 minutes from the Yale campus by car or taxi. Bradley International Airport is near Hartford, CT, about 45 miles (50 minutes) away from New Haven. La Guardia, JFK, and Newark airports are 2 hours from New Haven by train. There is also frequent limousine and shuttle service from major airports. Airport access is easier from La Guardia - take the M60 bus to Harlem-125th Street Station, and take the Metro North train to New Haven. From JFK, passengers must take subway to Grand Central Station, or take the NYC airporter shuttle to Grand Central. See details at MTA. From Bradley, passengers can take the Bradley Flyer bus to Hartford Union Station, and from there catch a train to New Haven Union Station.
